How Skribt Works
Skribt’s five-phase workflow from topic input to SEO-ready blog posts.
Skribt guides you through a streamlined 5-phase process to create SEO-optimized blog posts.
1. Input
Start by describing your topic in a simple text field. Just type what you want to write about and press Enter. No complex forms or lengthy setup. Just tell Skribt your idea and it handles the rest.
2. Brief
Skribt automatically generates a content brief based on your topic. This includes:
- Target audience: Who you're writing for
- Tone and style: Professional, conversational, authoritative, etc.
- Content type: Blog post, guide, listicle, comparison, etc.
- Article length: Short (~700 words), Medium (~1,300 words), or Long (~2,200 words)
- Key points: Main topics to cover (drag to reorder, add or remove)
- Sources: Optionally add URLs, upload documents, or enable AI web research
You can refine any of these before moving forward.
3. Outline
Skribt generates a structured outline based on your brief. The outline editor lets you:
- Edit section titles directly
- Use Tab and Shift+Tab to adjust heading levels (H2 → H3 → H4)
- Drag sections to reorder
- Add notes for each section describing what to cover
- Ask Skribt to adjust the outline with custom instructions
4. Writing
Click Generate content and Skribt's AI writes your article. Behind the scenes, a multi-step quality process runs:
- First draft generation
- Automated review checking intro/conclusion quality, transitions, keyword placement, and readability
- Editing pass to address any issues
- Up to 3 review-edit cycles until quality standards are met
You'll see real-time progress: "Generating first draft...", "Found 5 improvements to make", "Quality check passed ✓"
5. Refining
Once content is generated, you enter the editing phase. Select any text to reveal the AI refinement menu:
- Expand: Add more detail and depth
- Shorten: Make it more concise
- Rephrase: Say it differently while keeping the meaning
- Custom prompt: Give specific instructions for how to change the text
The SEO panel on the side provides real-time checks for keyword placement, meta descriptions, readability, and more.
