Creating Your First Article

Sign in, brief your topic, outline, generate, refine, and export your first post.

Step 1: Sign in

Click Sign in with Google in the top-right corner.

Step 2: Describe your topic

On the home screen, enter what you want to write about in "What do you want to write about?" Press Enter.

Step 3: Review your brief

Skribt suggests audience, tone, length, key points, and more. Edit anything you like.

Optional — Sources

  • Choose internal sitemaps for internal linking.
  • Enable Allow AI to research the web if you want Skribt to search while writing the first draft (you can still ask for research later in chat).
  • Paste URLs or upload documents (PDF, DOC, TXT, MD) you want cited.

There is no separate research wizard to complete before continuing.

Step 4: Edit your outline

Click Generate outline. Adjust headings (Tab / Shift+Tab for levels), drag to reorder, add section notes, or Ask Skribt to change the outline.

Step 5: Generate your article

Click Generate content →. Skribt opens the writing screen and drafts your article. Watch progress in the chat (reading brief, researching, drafting, polishing). The body fills in on the right.

Step 6: Refine and polish

  • Use chat for broad edits ("Add a FAQ with five questions").
  • Highlight text for Expand / Shorten / Rephrase or a custom prompt — requests go to chat and Skribt updates the article.
  • Open the SEO panel for scores, meta fields, and fact-checking.
  • Click Export when finished.
