AI Web Research
In the brief
Toggle Allow AI to research the web (under Sources → External). When enabled, Skribt may search the web while writing your first draft — for facts, statistics, and authoritative references. When disabled, Skribt relies on your brief, outline, manual sources, and existing knowledge for the first draft; you can still request web research later in chat.
Skribt uses high-quality search (Perplexity when configured, Exa as fallback).
While editing
Ask in chat, for example:
- "Find a recent study about [topic] and add one sentence to the intro."
- "Search for official documentation on [product] and link it in section 2."
Manual sources
Paste URLs or upload files in the brief anytime. Skribt can read them during the first draft and when you ask in chat.
