Outline Structure Rules
H2, H3, and H4 hierarchy plus recommended section limits by article length.
Skribt uses a simple three-level heading hierarchy to structure your articles.
Heading levels
| Level | Use for |
|---|---|
| H2 | Main sections (top-level topics) |
| H3 | Subsections within an H2 |
| H4 | Sub-subsections within an H3 |
Section limits by article length
The AI generates outlines within these recommended limits:
| Article length | Max H2 sections | Total headings |
|---|---|---|
| Short (600–800 words) | 3 | Up to 9 |
| Medium (1,200–1,500 words) | 5 | Up to 18 |
| Long (2,000–2,500 words) | 6 | Up to 25 |
Note: While AI-generated outlines follow these limits, you're free to add more sections when editing manually. However, keeping within the recommended limits helps maintain a focused, well-structured article.
