Keyword Density Formula

How keyphrase density is computed and how it maps to the optimal band.

Calculated as:

(keyword occurrences × words in keyphrase) / total word count × 100

For example, if your keyphrase is "remote work tips" (3 words) and it appears 5 times in a 1,000-word article: (5 × 3) / 1000 × 100 = 1.5%

This falls within the optimal 0.8–2.5% range. The panel shows your current density percentage in the check label (e.g., "Keyphrase density 1.5%").
