Table of Contents Block

The Table of Contents automatically builds a navigable list from your article's heading structure.

Auto-generation from headings

The block scans your document for H2, H3, and H4 headings and displays them in a hierarchical list. The list updates in real time as you add, edit, or remove headings. Empty headings display as "(Empty heading)" until you add text.

List styles

Three formatting options are available via toggle buttons at the top of the block:

• Bullets: Uses bullet characters (• for H2, ◦ for H3, ▪ for H4)
• Numbered: Displays hierarchical numbering (1., 1.1., 1.1.1.)
• Plain: Shows headings without any markers

Each heading in the table of contents is a clickable link. Clicking a heading smoothly scrolls the editor to that section of your article.
