Formality explained

Informal (du, tú, tu, jij): Conversational, direct address. Good for blogs, social content, younger audiences.

Formal (Sie, usted, vous, Lei, u): Respectful, professional. Better for business content, official communications, or audiences expecting formality.

Vos (Spanish): Common in Argentina, Uruguay, and parts of Central America. Uses vos instead of tú.

Setting your default

Your preferred language can be set in account settings. New briefs will default to this language, though you can always change it per article in the brief editor.

Where to change it

In the brief editor, click the underlined language name to open a dropdown with all 14 options.
