Selection Menu
Floating toolbar for formatting, block styles, links, and AI text actions.
When you highlight text in the editor, a floating menu appears above your selection. The menu provides quick access to:
Formatting options
Bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, and code formatting buttons.
Block styles
Convert selected text to a heading (H2, H3, H4), paragraph, or bullet list.
Link
Add or edit a link on the selected text.
AI transformations
- Expand: Make the selection longer with more detail
- Shorten: Condense the selection to be more concise
- Rephrase: Rewrite the selection in a different way
- Custom AI prompt: Type any instruction in the Ask AI to change something... field and press Apply changes.
Expand, Shorten, Rephrase, and custom prompts send your request to the chat. Skribt applies changes to the article from there; the menu closes so you can follow progress in the chat.
The menu follows your selection as you scroll and disappears when you click elsewhere or start typing.
