Auto-Save

Save cadence and header status for saving, saved, and pending changes.

Your work is automatically saved to the database about 1.2 seconds (roughly a second) after you pause typing. You'll see a status indicator in the header that shows:

  • Saving: A spinner appears while your content is being saved
  • Saved: A green checkmark confirms your latest changes are stored
  • Unsaved: An amber dot on the home/brief/outline flow indicates pending changes that will be saved shortly

On the writing screen, you'll primarily see Saving and Saved. You don't need to manually save, so just keep writing and the app handles the rest.
