Auto-Save

Save cadence and header status for saving, saved, and pending changes.

Your work is automatically saved to the database about 1.2 seconds (roughly a second) after you pause typing. You'll see a status indicator in the header that shows:

  • Saving: A spinner appears while your content is being saved
  • Saved: A green checkmark confirms your latest changes are stored
  • Unsaved: An amber dot on the home/brief/outline flow indicates pending changes that will be saved shortly

On the writing screen, you'll primarily see Saving and Saved. You don't need to manually save — just keep writing and the app handles the rest.
